Darwin
Arrived Darwin 9-7-12, to our surprise we ran into Richard and Carol, they past and saw our van, “do you want to see Darwin'” said Richard, so off we go showed us all around town, watched boats going through lochs (this is because the size of the tides in Darwin), and stoped at the Mindil Beach Markets to see the sun set on Mindil Beach.  The Markets had a great range of exotic foods which we of coarse sampled, kids entertainment.

They took us to the casino so we could register for “mad Monday” where they give you $20 each to spend on pokies (where Karen won $40) and two free drinks and a meal for only $10, the food was excellent, as much as you could eat.
Next day we drove around getting lost but having fun, Visited the Defence of Darwin Experience, see photo's

WW2 Oil Storage Tunnels

Visited WW2 Oil Storage Tunnels, they were dug by hand because the Japs were in the sky's and they needed somewhere to store fuel during the war, but to no avail because they were finished after the war.
