Up late as usual love this lifestyle slow brekky while watching Sunrise.  Talked Chris into going for a ride around Cotton Tree way.  Had to give him my nics to convince it wouldn't hurt like that last bike ride we did.  A lovely day not to hot nice breeze  ended it off with a McCafe Capp not bad. Checked out Health Works got a great timetable for classses just what I need put on a kilo already damn it!!!!!!! Might start today with a Xtrainer 5.30pm  $120.00 for a ten visit pass.  Not cheap like the PCYC the price for living on the beach.  Just think only three weeks before the girls and I go to BANGKOK just hope the floods have gone down.

Aint ya jealous of them legs

Saturday the 15th we went to Maleny to Derek (Banger) & Moureen.  They have semi retired to an over 50 village, very nice area but cold in winter.  We met Derek & Moureen in Emerald, Derek was running the explosive depot (ICI) at Gregory in 1979.  Their children, Debbie, Craoline (who tragically died from Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma Nov 2006), Abbey, Derek John & Becky.  Beautiful pome family, we became very good friends.  Derek, who is 75, still works in the mines now and then at South Walker as an OCE, crazy man.  I remember one time we came down to see them and Derek had driven from Dysart after a 12 hr night shift, to Mapleton where he lived, and the first thing he said when he got out of the car was, "Becky lets have a beer", and boy!! can he tell a yarn.
Left Maleny about at 5pm, chased home by a viscous storm.

Day at Marcoola

Today we went to see a couple I first met in 1975 at Blackwater, Charlie Somers left Scotland middle of winter to start a job underground at Leichhardt Mine Blackwater middle of summer.  We started on the same day 17/11/1975.  Over the years we became good friends.  Charlie & Inga left Blackwater and went to a new job at Gregory Mine outside Emerald, Karen & myself followed shortly after.  Charlie retired about 14 Years ago to Marcoola, very easy place to live.
We had a great time catching up, lunch at Marcoola Surf Club, and back home 4.30pm, had a rest, bit to eat then picked up by Pushpa & Geoff.  At 7.45pm off to Maroochydore RSL where a band was playing.  Had a few drinks & dances good time had by all, except muggens (no smoking had the one who must be obeyed watching me) home by 10.30pm, (getting old).

Another lazy day at Mooloolaba

We lazed around all morning, and some bright spark (KAREN) said lets go for a bike ride, well it looked like an easy ride of about 18 Kms round trip to the light house at Point Cartwright.  Had a nice easy ride there, went for a walk around the point to the Mooloolah River, nice easy walk.  While at the point there was about 5 blokes paragliding, great to watch.  On the way back home muggens was in the lead, and of course took a wrong turn, ended up going about 10 Kms off course, I suppose I got some exercise, plus a sore assssssssss.  Home to a bottle of scotch, so much for the exercise!!!!!!
