We were in Toowoomba for 5 weeks stayed with MUM in her huge house. Left the turtle at a friend of Mums in a horse paddock just 5 minute drive away put a electric fence around to stop the horses chewing it. We learnt our lesson with animals and Vehicle's, last time we left the truck in Dads yard for safe keeping or so we thought the BLOODY DOG chewed all the wires under the truck costing us $500 to fix not HAPPY!!!! The main reason we spent so much time in Toowoomba was Chris had to get his teeth done I will show photos before and after. He looks so much better quite cute again for an old fart of 61 he had his birthday 2nd January.
We had a lovely luncheon at THE SPRINGS the ambiance was beautiful the prices outrageous but we enjoyed it very much. Trish baked Chris chocolate muffins just YUM we scoffed the lot.
I caught up with a lot of friends spent a lovely day with Wendy Friend on her birthday 8th January had a tasty breakfast at Gatton Culture Centre. Then back to her & Peters little farm of 20acres at Grantham. What a wonderful place they have cows, sheep, chooks, goats, 1 pony and doves and of course the working dogs. Oh I forgot the turkeys and ducks what a menagerie just perfect.
Then up to Toowomba to have a few cocktails then the MOVIES to see the IRON LADY.
What a great day. Chris and Mum did a huge amount of work around the house lot heavy manual work I helped now and then.
Went to Highfields for a drive what a growing place that is very nice.
Drove down to see Aunty Betty at Springwood she is 90 and great for her age she was so happy to see us. So while we were there we went to IKEA what a HUGE place get anything you desire for a reasonable price. The food hall was unbelievable and so cheap.
We didn't take many photos for the last 6 weeks getting slack again.
Anyway we are here at Stanthorpe been here since Sunday the 22nd done nothing much but drizzle and rain and of course cool. Been doing the winery's and and lots of attractions around the place. Went to Bald Rock NP yesterday. Unbelievable place we climbed the Rock just so stunning as you will see from the photos.
Haven't been doing much exercise starting to show and also its all the extra eating. This place called Suttons has the most exquisite apple pie and apple cider ice cream and cream we shared thank heavens it was huge. The other place we thought best is the BRAMBLE PATCH waffles and compote fruit with ice cream just yummy.
So you see I am growing outwards and drinks and nibbles at 5pm don't help either I suppose. Enough complaining I have control of my hands.
Well just hope it stops raining soon I think we will be here for a while the place we are booked into is on the Clarence River YAMBA. Just wait and see Cherrio for now!!!
